Subscriptions, Payments & Terms of Service

Subscriptions to Project Compound are processed by Substack, Inc. and its payment partner Stripe, Inc.
By subscribing, you agree to the following terms:

1. Access to Digital Content
   Upon successful payment, you receive immediate access to digital content such as newsletters, premium posts, and subscriber-only materials.

2. Billing & Payments
   Payments are securely handled by Stripe. Project Compound does not store payment data.
   Transactions are subject to:

   • Substack Terms of Use

   • Stripe Terms of Service

3. Right of Withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB)
   Under EU and German law, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
   Because your subscription provides immediate access to digital content, this right expires once access begins and you have agreed to the immediate start of service.

   By subscribing, you confirm:

   • Access to the digital content begins immediately.

   • You waive your statutory right of withdrawal after access begins.

4. Cancellation
   You may cancel your paid subscription at any time via your Substack account.
   The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

5. Automatic Renewal
   Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term (monthly / annual) unless canceled before renewal.

6. Refund Policy
   Refunds are not generally issued after access has begun, except in cases of technical error or duplicate billing.

7. Governing Law
   These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
